1. How do I setup an account?Simply click on CREATE AN ACCOUNT and fill out a short application. Select your username and password and presto!.
2. How can I look at your pricing?Click on any of our products and choose your options to obtain pricing.
File Setup
1. What file types are accepted?.AI (Adobe Illustrator), .PSD (Adobe Photoshop), .EPS, .PDF, JPG, .TIF
2. Should my fonts be outlined?YES! we accept camera ready artwork only. Breaking the fonts helps us by making sure that the fonts don't change on our side when we open up the file.
3. What are your resolution requirements?All rasterized (bitmap) images must be at least 300 dpi. However, 400 dpi for photo images and 1200 dpi for text and line art is highly recommended.
4. What color space should I send my files in?To ensure quality all files should be sent in CMYK. Any files submitted in RGB may experience unacceptable color shifting. All files submitted in RGB are automatically converted to CMYK.
5. What are the bleed requirements?All files must include a 1/8" (0.125 inch) bleed regardless if your design bleeds to the edge or not. An example of bleed setup for a 4" x 6" postcard would be 4.25" x 6.25".
6. Should I include crop marks in my file?Do not include crop marks in your artwork. Always submit your artwork at trim size + bleed. An example of bleed setup for a 4" x 6" postcard would be 4.25" x 6.25".
7. Can I include front and back images in 1 file?Each side of your artwork must be in a separate file. Do not put both front and back in the same file.
8. Should overprint be turned on or off?It is STRONGLY suggested that overprint is turned off to avoid unexpected results.
9. How do I setup Spot UV?When creating a Spot UV job, You must include a Spot UV template file along with the regular full color file. The Spot UV template file is used to show where the UV will be placed.
File Submission
1. How do I send my files to Kasl Printing?There are three methods to send artwork to Kasl Printing. The first is our Web Uploader. Once you have finalized your order, you will be able to upload your artwork through the Web Uploader. Use our Power Loader to upload serveral jobs. For those resellers that need to submit larger files, FTP access is available.
2. What are the differences between the Web Uploader and FTP?The Web Uploader is much more convenient and allows Kasl Printing to process your job quicker. However, the largest file size that can be sent through the Web Uploader is 32 megabytes per file. For larger artwork, FTP method must be used.
3. How do I login to the FTP?The FTP address is ftp.Kasl Printing.com Username and password are the same used to login to the website.
4. What FTP client should I use to connect to the FTP?You may use any FTP client. If you don't know of any, FileZilla is recommended. It is FREE, and is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Click Here to Download.
5. How should artwork uploaded to the FTP be named for quick processing?Name each file the job number given to you once your order has been placed. An example would be 12231-03-Front, 12231-03-Back. Forgetting job numbers, may delay production.
Ordering
1. Can I change paper, quantity or any other job specifications after I've finalized my order?Due to the highly automated and fast paced gang-run process, once orders are placed, they are final. Changes cannot be made and orders can only be canceled.
2. What payment methods are accepted?Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are accepted. In order for production to begin all orders must be paid in full.
Production
1. What type of printing is used?All products except banners are done using a gang run procedure on offset presses including jobs of 200 and 500 quantities. This is possible due to our highly efficient workflow and job volume. Banner jobs are not offset
2. What line screen are my jobs printed at?400 lpi
3. How long does it take to start printing?Printing may start as early as a few hours. Kasl Printing has full discretion in scheduling and makes sure all jobs are completed within stated turnaround times.
4. How do I calculate turnaround time?There are two components to turnaround time. First is production time. This is the time to manufacture your job. The second component is transit time. This is the time for the product to reach you. Transit time varies on shipping method used. Both production time and transit time never include weekends or holidays. The day of ordering is not counted as the first day. I.e. Ordering Monday before cut-off with a 2 day turnaround time means the job will be ready to ship on Wednesday (Tuesday = Day 1 of Production, Wednesday = Day 2 of production).
5. What is your cut-off time?12:00 p.m. Pacific time is the daily time cut.
Shipping
1. Do you blind/drop ship?Yes, and in fact every single shipment is a blind ship. All shipments are sent with YOUR Ship From information by default.
2. What carrier does Kasl Printing use to ship with?All shipments are sent via UPS.
3. Can I have shipments sent on my own account?To ensure the accurate delivery of your products according to our timelines, we cannot use any other accounts.
4. Where do you ship to?Kasl Printing ships to all 50 US states and Puerto Rico.
